FUSD high schools are offering the administration of the SAT School Day to 11th grade students on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Per College Board guidelines, this exam will be open to 11th grade students only


There are two test options - the SAT without the essay portion and the SAT with the essay. The SAT without the essay will take approximately four hours to complete and cost $67. The SAT with the essay will take approximately five hours to complete and cost $83. College Board does allow for a reduced cost for eligible students and families.


AHS families will need to enroll for this test administration by first submitting their intent on a google form. The form can be accessed through this link. The form will close on Thursday, March 11 at 5:00 pm.  Payment directions will be sent once the google form closes.   


This test date allows students the opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. If a student would like to take the SAT for National Merit Scholarship recognition, they MUST complete the directions outlined on this webpage by April 1, 2021.


The test will be administered for Juniors on our school campus. Students will be testing in groupings which comply with the local and Alameda County Department of Health guidelines for schools. Students will be expected to wear a mask for the entire time they are on campus and follow all safety guidelines. Safety guidelines and procedures for arrival, testing, and departure will be shared with test takers in advance of the April 27 test date. If cancellation of this test administration is necessary, families will be refunded the testing costs.  


This SAT administration is optional and being made available for students interested in applying directly to four year universities still requiring SAT results or for students seeking National Merit qualification.
